Ifan comes from a musical family and he started playing piano when he was 7 years old. At age 12, he took up the guitar which became his main instrument.
He studied music at the University of South Wales and began performing with bands at venues and festivals all over the UK. One of his highlights was playing with a solo act named Toriah Fontaine at London's famous 100 Club.
After many months of gigging with a busy cover band, he joined a Pink Floyd tribute band, and an originals band where he played lead guitar and provided backing vocals.
His versatility and professionalism have led to collaborations with a diverse range of artists, spanning multiple musical genres.
He has also done recording and session work for the BBC.

In 2020, Ifan teamed up with Jayne as a member of the Kodiak Avenue Virtual Band, alongside other musicians from around the UK and abroad.
As part of the virtual band, Ifan played lead guitar on several country tracks, and the band's rendition of Keith Urban's 'Somebody Like You' was featured on Absolute Country Radio.
Fast forward a few years, and Ifan is now a full-time member of the Kodiak Avenue Acoustic Duo where he showcases his exceptional acoustic guitar skills and provides vocal harmonies.
